List Management

If your organization or business has a mailing list, under certain circumstances your list may be marketable for rental. If your list primarily consists of donors, mail order buyers, demographically or physographically profiled, unusual individuals, or vertical business groups with contact names, your list may be of value on a national level.

Many firms add additional revenue to their bottom line by renting their lists. Depending upon the type of list and its value in the market place, your list could be worth as much as $75.00 to $150.00/m records. You have the ability to completely control who uses your list and when . You can require samples/rough drafts of the mail pieces that must be submitted for approval prior to renting. You can protect your list from being copied. With many businesses and organizations always looking for new ways to generate revenue, renting your mailing list may be a good option. BlueGrass Mailing can market, provide customer service, process orders, maintain and fulfill list orders and collect all revenue.

Consumer Lists

Mailing lists of consumers are generally compiled from a variety of sources. They can be obtained using phone books, city directories, mortgage data, survey data, warranty registrations and various other sources. Using many of the USPS's tools for updating, such as National Change of Address (NCOA), Delivery Point Validation (DPV) and Coding Accuracy Support System (CASS) certification, helps cleanse the files. Using various other data such as census information, credit reporting, buying habits and psychographics, adds important additional information to better pinpoint those consumers for specific communication or marketing purposes.

Business Lists

The largest mass compiled files usually originate from telephone directories (white pages and yellow pages), business credit reporting agencies, telephone companies, and city directories. Using these types of compiled lists often times allows for selections such as the business type (standard industrial classification), geographical information (businesses within state, county, or zip code boundaries), main contact name, telephone number, number of employees, total sales, and main or branch office. Magazine and business publications often times offer the ability to target more middle management within business organization than mass compiled business lists can generally offer. These types of publications will also help you target by business type, based on the publication type.

Residential Lists

Resident mailing lists are used more often by more business types than any other mailing lists. Using a resident mailing list following certain postal services guidelines offers profit and non-profit businesses and organizations the least expensive postal costs for distribution of mail through the US Postal Service. Businesses and organizations can target mailings to households geographically, by state, county, zip code, or neighborhood around specific locations. You can also choose the type of dwelling, single family or multi-family locations. The newest option with resident lists is to get census information overlays that give you demographic selects such as average household income or home worth.

Mortgage Lists

Generally, this information is public and obtained through county clerks, PVA's (property valuation administrators), local newspapers, or other sources. Information available ranges from home worth, mortgage amount, interest, mortgage holder name and address, name of mortgage company, date of transaction and other data. Most companies who focus on compilation of mortgage data do so in larger population centers. It is rare to be able to have good information in smaller communities.

New Mover Lists

People who have just moved to a new home, condo or apartment generally have specific needs for new products and services. We can help you to determine the best way to create a successful move list. Contacting new movers as close as possible to the original move date is the key to maximizing the response.

Fundraising Lists

Donors can be segmented based on the causes that they have previously given to, amount of donation, or last giving date. These lists are great for testing where your donors are nationwide. When your fundraising organization services a local city or group of counties, national lists of donors may not have enough donors within the locale you are interested in to be of benefit to you. Based on your organization's needs, we can use not only previous donor databases, but other lists based on demographics, psychographics, geographical areas, or other criteria that may increase response. You can track new donors by date of gifts, amount, and life of giving.
